Mat Kearney has had a big year. From having Britney Spears tweet her support, to Taylor Swift performing a song of his while on tour saying it was one of her favorites to performing live on a Southwest Airlines flight to a "captive" and thrilled audience, Kearney has proven that he is only moving upward.
The facts:
* Mat kicked off his new album release Young Love with a slew of media press including raves from People Magazine, USA Today, and Entertainment Weekly as well as a performance week of release on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
* He followed this up the release with the first leg of a National Headlining tour that included sold-out shows at NYC's Webster Hall, Boston's House of Blues, Minneapolis' First Avenue, 2 NITES @ Chicago's House Of Blues and Washington DC's 9:30 Club.
* Young Love debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on iTunes Album Chart. His third full-length studio album, this is his highest debut to date!
* Artists including Britney Spears, Lady Antebellum, and LeAnn Rimes have all shown their support for Young Love.
* His first single "Hey Mama" went top-five at Triple A and top-fifteen at Hot AC.
* Mat has had numerous television synchs, with songs appearing in Soul Surfer, Grey's Anatomy, and Parenthood. "Hey Mama" is also currently being featured in a Red Lobster commercial.
